Memorandum of Understanding regarding Friendly Cooperation between Yogyakarta Special Region and Yamanashi Prefecture Signing Ceremony

     Yamanashi Prefecture and Yogyakarta Special Region have many similarities, such as world heritage, volcanoes, and more. Both regions have taken many steps in the last two years towards mutual cooperation in certain fields, mainly culture, agriculture, education, and tourism.

     Relations between both regions started with the Yamanashi Prefecture Vice Governor’s visit to Yogyakarta for Top Sales activities on August 2014. Yogyakarta Special Region’s Governor visited Yamanashi Prefecture on August 2015, and then Yamanashi Prefecture’s Governor visited Jakarta on November 2015, at which point the Letter of Intent regarding further cooperation was signed.

Letter of Intent between Yamanashi Prefecture and Yogyakarta Special Region was signed - November 2015


     On November 24th 2016, Yogyakarta Special Region’s Governor Delegation visited Yamanashi Prefecture again. This visit was to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding Friendly Cooperation between Yogyakarta Special Region and Yamanashi Prefecture. The MoU signing ceremony was held in Hua Hin room at the Konaya hotel, Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture.

     With this MoU signing, the hope of both regions is for further cooperation in various fields.
