I wanna tell you a story, but this is a
story from last month. I couldn’t write it until today because I was busy.
↑ it`s an excuse.
This is a story about a visit from Panasonic
Gobel Group tour group to one of Chateraise bakery factory in Hakushu, Hokuto City,
Yamanashi prefecture.

Regarding the visit on 2nd March 2017,
about one week before this the Chateraise Marketing staff came to my office to
'borrow' me for one day so I could help with interpreting on the site.
That morning,
Mr. Nakajima, the Chateraise Marketing Officer, picked me up from my apartment.
On the way to the factory, he told me to accompany Mr. Furuya, Senior managing
Director, for an activity that would be held. Once we
arrived, we checked the event venue and did some preparation.

The group arrived at the factory around lunch time. I and the other Chateraise staff welcomed them in front of the main building gate. Coincidentally, some Indonesian celebrities that came that day were from Bandung, so I welcomed them with “Wilujeng sumping di Chateraise!” meaning “welcome to Chateraise!” in the Sundanese language. Off course they are surprised to hear this greeting in their mother language in Japan.
The event opened with a short speech from Chateraise CEO, Mr. Saito, and another speech from another Chateraise leader, Mr. Rachmat Gobel, the tour group leader.

Here, the guests were treated with Japanese food, and Chateraise made cake and ice cream. There were also Japanese tea booths. All the guests enjoyed their food while watching the cake and ice cream production process.

Special for that day, factory visits were closed to the public. Usually factory visits are open every day for the public and visitors can enjoy cake and ice cream for free.

In the middle of lunch, some Indonesian celebrities enlivened the atmosphere by singing and dancing. For the dancing, Irfan Hakim taught the Indonesian mask dance to one of Chateraise’s staff.
And Uncle Farhan also asked me interpret for him from Japanese to Sundanese as he interviewed and joked with Mr. Furuya so Uncle Farhan could interpret from Sundanese to Indonesian.

The guests were very satisfied with the party that Chateraise held. They are sure Chateraise products will sell well in Indonesia. And the good news is, if there is no problem, the first Chateraise store in Indonesia will open in Jakarta in the near future.
| Cheers! |
That is enough for today’s story. I hope you like it. Bye.
