One of Yamanashi's most famous festivals, the Kawaguchiko Herb Festival, opens in just two weeks! Spread out across both Yagizaki Park and Oishi Park, huge vibrant lavender beds create a gorgeous view of the lake and Mt Fuji. This is definitely a must-see event!
There are also many local crafts and products sold in the parks, so if you are looking to try some lavender flavoured ice cream, or if you want to buy some local herbs, this is the place to visit!
The festival begins on June 16th (Friday), and lasts for around a month. Don't miss it!
