This year, the famous Hina Doll and Peach Flower Festival from Koshu city will be held from February 2 nd to April 18 th.
March 3rd is the Girl's Day in Japan, when ornamental dolls are displayed on a special step-altar covered with red cloth to pray for young girls heath and happiness. Hina dolls from the Edo, Meiji, Taisho and Showa Periods, as well as ornaments that have Koshu as theme, will be displayed at Kanzoyashiki, an old traditional house built in the end of Edo Period, recognized as an important cultural property by the Japanese government.
Entrance fee is 300 y for adults, 200 y for children.
From the beginning to mid-April, you can also enjoy the amazing view of pink peach flowers in full bloom at Enzan Togenkyo, and from late March to the beginning of April it will be the best time to see the 300 years old cherry tree Itozakura, from Jiunji temple.

The Old Residence of Ando Family, in Minami Alps city, will also celebrate the Girl’s Day with an exhibition of more than 200 Hina Dolls from Edo until Showa Period. The 310 years old house is also considered an important cultural property by the government and nowadays it is used as concerts and lectures hall, photoshoots and others.
The Hina Dolls display will be held from February 7 th to April 8 th . Entrance fee is 300 y for adults, 100 y for children.
