Fireworks are synonym of summer in Japan,
when sparkling festivals are held all over the country.
But in Yamanashi Prefecture, winter nights are also illuminated by bright
fireworks that fill the sky over Lake Kawaguchi, from where you can see Mt. Fuji,
with vivid colors.
Kawaguchiko Winter Fireworks will be held every Saturday and Sunday, from January 12 to February 17,
at the main stage, Oike Park, and also at Yagizaki Park and Tatamiiwa,
from 8 to 8:20 pm. Entrance is free, and the event can be accessed by bus from Kawaguchiko and Saiko areas.
